Gerardi is a Guatemalan film produced by the Human Rights Office of the Archbishopric of Guatemala and Moralejas films. Monsignor Gerardi is bishop in that department, one of the departments of the Republic most affected by violence. His homilies then become public denunciations and he is forced to go into exile despite having the support of the Archbishop of Guatemala, Próspero Penados del Barrio.
