En el antiguo Egipto, un malvado hechicero llamado Scarab, mata a hijo del Faraón, el príncipe Ramses, así que puede convertirse en inmortal. Enterrado vivo por su crimen, Scarab revive en el mundo moderno y comienza su búsqueda de la reencarnación de Ramses, cuando un chico de San Francisco llamado Presley Carnovan para recuperar el espíritu de los Ramses para que pueda convertirse en inmortal. Rapses (Presley) y solamente las momias guardianas del Faraon, Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon y Nefer-Tina, junto con el gato de Ramses, Kahti, regresan entre los muertos para protegerle de Scarab .
